I projected an image of my father, who passed away in 2009. While capturing video footage of the projected image, I reprojected the footage and repeated the process of recording the projection of a projection until the image no longer resembled my father. After this process, I projected the final product onto layers of butcher paper, on which I traced over his face with charcoal. For the duration of the video, I tore down each layer to start over as the pages filled up.
